Job Summary
The Head of Sales – Banquets is responsible for driving revenue through banquet and event sales, including weddings, corporate events, conferences, and social functions. This role focuses on strategic planning, client acquisition, team leadership, and maximizing occupancy and profitability of banquet spaces.

Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy
· Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve banquet revenue targets
· Identify new business opportunities in corporate, wedding, and social segments
· Build strong pipelines for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) business
· Monitor market trends and competitor activity to stay competitive

2. Client Relationship Management
· Establish and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and wedding planners
· Handle key accounts and high-value clients
· Ensure exceptional customer experience from inquiry to event execution

3. Team Leadership
· Lead, mentor, and manage the banquet sales team
· Set individual sales targets and monitor performance
· Conduct regular training and performance reviews

4. Event Planning Coordination
· Work closely with operations, F&B, and kitchen teams to ensure seamless event execution
· Oversee event proposals, contracts, and negotiations
· Ensure all client requirements are met with high service standards

5. Financial Management
· Prepare budgets, forecasts, and sales reports
· Optimize pricing strategies and packages to maximize profitability
· Track revenue performance and implement corrective actions if needed

6. Marketing & Promotion
· Collaborate with marketing team on campaigns, promotions, and brand positioning
· Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums

Key Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field
· 13+ years of experience in hotel banquet sales, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role
· Strong network in Mumbai’s corporate and wedding market
· Proven track record of achieving sales targets
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
· Strong understanding of banquet operations and event management
· Event planning coordination
